Covid State Of Mind

Hey Friends! 

We wanted to create this particular blog post to touch base with you all during what is a difficult time on a worldwide scale and offer some positivity and guidance from us as The Planned Duo. 

By now, we’re sure you’re up to date with the latest news and most likely don’t need us reiterating what you already know. We just hope that you’re all staying safe, making good decisions and being kind to yourself and those around you. 

As you know our passion lies in providing you with a platform promoting a healthy, happy and organised lifestyle, so we thought it best to share our tips on ways to lift your spirits in this time of uncertainty. 

1. Keep Planning For Your Goals
In uncertain times, we recommend shifting your focus to your goals and what you are striving for on a larger scale. Get clear on what you want to achieve and get it down on paper.

2. Maintain Structure
If you have been working from home or are choosing to self isolate it is important to stick to a structure as much as possible. Plan out your day so that you know how you have spent your time or what you want to achieve for the day. 

3. Find A Work Around
If your gym, yoga studio, favourite place to workout has closed or you don’t want to be leaving the house, then find a work around to keep up your fitness. A lot of businesses like  Keep it Cleaner and Tidal Flow Yoga are evolving into the digital realm and letting you stream live workouts from home. There are also great options on YouTube that you can search for at any time of the day. 

4. Maintain A Positive Mindset
This is everything and one that only you can control. It is important to be aware, however at the same time try and not let negative thoughts consume you. Listen to a meditation – we can highly recommend our girl from @themodernmeditator if you are a beginner and wanting to get started on this journey.

5. Listen To Podcasts
Thankfully we are part of a digital society and have access to so much information. We love listening and learning from podcasts so why not use this time indoors to start? Some of our favs include @thehealthcode @kicpod @shesonthemoney @shameless OR you could give our new Podcast – The Duo Channel a listen!

6. Keep Communication Open
Send a text, email, call, facetime or skype with those around you. Whilst it is recommended to keep our distance from each other there are so many ways to communicate with those we love. It is as simple as picking up the phone and just calling! Our challenge to you is to talk about an uplifting topic so you both feel good when the conversation ends. 

We hope this post has given you a few things to brighten your day and know that all you can do right now is take it day by day. 

From our perspective, our business is running as normal in regards to your online orders and our day to day work life. We are however practising social distancing which means limiting our in office meetings with each other. This may affect the weekly launch of our new podcast, but don’t worry too much yet, we have episode 4 of our podcast – The Duo Channel that will go live on Tuesday March 25. Should anything change, we will  keep you posted on Instagram if we are unable to launch episode 5 for any reason.
